Mavins have really come a long way. Remember when Mavins and YBNL were constantly competing for record labels? Back then, when Korede Bello was still rocking his Afro when Dija got a lot of screen time, and Reekado Banks was riding the waves. The group went on to produce major collaboration hits like “Dorobucci,” “Adaobi,” and “All is in Order,” which received validation on the streets. Although the record label has seen the departure of different talented stars in the likes of Tiwa Savage and Wande Coal,

The top 5 artists in the history of Mavins are:
5. Ayra Starr
This beautiful singer, who goes by the name Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe but is popularly known as Ayra Starr, is a talented Nigerian singer signed under Mavins Records. She got international recognition with her hit “Away,” whose melodious tune captured the hearts of her fans. She went on to release beautiful songs like “Ija”, “Sare” and many more. At the 8th African Muzik Magazine Awards , she was nominated for the Best Newcomer award.
There have been posts on who’s better between Ayra and Tems on social media, and all I can say is that both are good. Born with a slim and pretty stature, Ayra would definitely attract a third stare, and her fashion sense is top-notch!
4. Ladipoe
Ladipoe is one underrated Mavins singer, songwriter, and rapper. Have you seen him on the hit “Feeling” where he was featured by Buju? What about the lover boy rap he made to add spice to the “Know You” hit song? He has also gone on to release songs like “Lemme Know,” “Are You Down?”, and “Rap Messiah,” to mention but a few. Ladipoe is a young, 30-year-old, handsome man who was born in Lagos and joined Mavins Records in 2017. He has received awards for the most played hip-hop song and the best collaboration award at the Headies in 2020.
It’s Ladipoe. This has always been his intro to any song he’s featured in. Ladipoe is good; no cap. He has a beautiful wife and has just welcomed his first child. He went on to post pictures of him cradling his baby. This is so adorable.

3. Rema
This young star came into the limelight with “Dumebi,” a major hit that rocked the streets on its release. Divine Ikubor, who has been confirmed by the artist himself to be a student of Unilag, was signed by Don Jazzy under Jonzing World. So far, Rema hasn’t disappointed anyone as he has been dropping solid hits. Some of his hits are “bounce” and “calm down”, amongst others. At the 13th edition of the Headies, Rema won the Next Rated for Viewer Choice and Song of the Year for Dumebi. In 2020, he received the Soundcity MVP award for Best New Artist.
To the disgust of his female die-hard fans, Remmy Boy, who was every young lady’s crush, had taken Nimie on a shopping spree. Notwithstanding, they still love him. Recently, a video of him and the popular Amelia on a chicken and chips date went viral, and we can deduce that Rema has a deep love for his mother. How sweet!

2. Tiwa Savage
Tiwa Savage was born in Isale Eko, and she relocated to London to complete her secondary education but returned back to Lagos to start her music career. Tiwa Savage was the first female Nigerian musician to get a BET nomination in 2014. She also won the best female category at the Channel O music awards event in the same year (2014). She was also nominated for the award in 2018. In November 2018, Savage won Best African Act at the 2018 MTV Europe Music Awards, becoming the first woman to win the category.
There was a time when this pretty lady’s sex video was leaked and it concocted hate tweets against her. Most of her fans were thrown aback, but as usual, it only created more cruise for the social media community. Despite this, Tiwa is unquestionably the queen of her empire.

1. Don Jazzy
When you are giving credit to a school for doing very well, do you skip the principal and move on to the students? Noo. Michael Collins Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy is the ‘big daddy’ of Mavins record label. He is the CEO of Mavins who has taken a break from singing but most of the time features in group collaborations. His rich baritone voice can be recognized anywhere, and there’s a major effect it has on the songs he releases.
Don Jazzy is the kind of musician that encourages young talents. He uses his social media page to encourage unestablished young artists to post their works on their social media pages, as Ayra Star and Boy Spyce did. Who’s the boss? It’s definitely Don Jazzy.
