These 10 universities can accept you with your poor JAMB score

Welcome to the saga that determines the direction of the future of many Nigerian Youths. Even if it doesn’t tell your future literally, it tells the way the next 3 to 4 years of your life will turn out. And that is a lot! 

The 2023 UTME examination commenced on the 25th of April and rounded off on the 2nd of May. And here, 7 days later, we bring you the tissue paper to wipe your tears and lit hope in your heart.

These schools are yours for choosing from. When you find one that seems laudable enough for you, quickly grab a Change of Institution form — that is obviously after you have confirmed if the course of your choice is available for your mark, if not, pick up a Change of Course form to change to courses in your performance range.

1. FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY OWERRI, FUTO

FUTO is a federal government University in Owerri West in Imo state. Several articles confirm that the 2023/2024 admission cutoff mark in FUTO is 180. you can visit www.futo.edu.ng/postutme for more info if you might be interested in this school.

2. UNIVERSITY OF JOS, UNIJOS

This university is located in the Central region of Nigeria and has announced the release of their Post-Utme screening form for the 2023/2024 academic session for all candidates that scored a minimum of 180 marks in the just concluded JAMB. Hurry up now to their portal  www.unijos.edu.ng/eportals/post-utme to apply.

3. FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OYE-EKITI, FUOYE

This school thrives in the diverse nature of its student’s backgrounds. Their students healthily represent the diversity in perspective, experience, and cultures. If you have a Gypsy mind, this might just be the best school for you. And yes, their cutoff mark is also 180. How cool is that?!

4. USMANU DANFODIYO UNIVERSITY, SOKOTO

Formerly known as the University of Sokoto, this beautiful campus is situated in the noble City of Sokoto. UDUSOK is a Public Research University open to students of all races with a mind-blowing cutoff mark of 160.

5. AMBROSE ALLI UNIVERSITY, EDO STATE

Situated in Ekpoma, Edo State, Ambrose Alli University is a state-owned university established in 1981 by the Governor of then Bendel State, Ambrose Folorunsho Alli. And they have a known cutoff mark of Visit the school portal https://aauportal.school for more details regarding your admission.

6. NIGER DELTA UNIVERSITY, NDU

Located in Wilberforce Island, Amassoma, Bayelsa State, and established in the year 2000, Niger Delta University is a government-funded University with an amazing cutoff mark of 150. 150! And you said there’s no hope for you. You better adjust your pants, go to their portal and learn more.

7. FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE, ABEOKUTA

Also a research university, FUNAAB has over 351 academic programs for you to explore. The current cutoff mark for this citadel of learning is 160.

8. FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF PETROLEUM RESOURCES, EFFURUN

FUPRE is a recognized Nigerian University in Delta State, the first Petroleum university in Nigeria, and the 6th in Africa. It is super-saturated with beautiful engineering courses tailored just for you. Any student with 180 and above as their cut-off mark can apply to this school.

9. MICHAEL OKPARA UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE, UMUDIKE

This is a specialized university established majorly with agriculture in mind. There are other courses of course. Agriculture is broad and wide. If you are interested in courses like Microbiology or Veterinary Medicine, this school is for you. Formerly known as the University of Agriculture, Umudike, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture holds a current cutoff mark of 140. Absolutely amazing, is it not?!

10. UNIVERSITY OF CALABAR, UNICAL

with over 100 academic programs, this school takes the lead in transformative education as they develop their students with habits of the mind and intellectual skills. Before you can be eligible to purchase the Post-UTME form of UNICAL, you must score exactly 180 or above.
